Join Mattioli Woods as an FP&A Analyst during an exciting period of private equity (PE)-backed growth. This isn't a purely reporting role – we're looking for someone commercially curious who wants to understand how the business really works and use insight to influence better decisions. Reporting to the FP&A Manager, you'll be encouraged to challenge, ask "why", and work closely with stakeholders to understand performance and support value creation. What you'll do: Commercial insight and analysis produce decision-focused analysis that explains what's happening, why, and what to do next support budgeting and forecasting, analysing revenue, costs, and profitability drivers build and maintain financial models to evaluate different options and their impact Business partnering build strong relationships with stakeholders, becoming their trusted finance contact translate financial information into simple, meaningful insight for non-finance colleagues support performance discussions with evidence-based challenge and constructive input Performance reporting and improvement prepare management reporting, and support monthly packs and selected Board reporting develop and track KPIs and dashboards that matter to the business contribute ideas to improve reporting, forecasting, and automation What we’re looking for: Essential part-qualified or newly-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent relevant experience experience producing management information and variance analysis strong Excel skills with good foundation in financial modelling commercial mindset – interested in the story behind the numbers, not just the numbers clear communicator who can explain financial insight in a practical way proactive, curious, and comfortable in fast-moving environments Desirable PE-backed business or fast-growth environment experience financial services or wealth management exposure BI tools or ERP systems (Power BI, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle) awareness of consolidation processes and Group reporting structures Perks and benefits competitive salary (depending on experience) ⏰ 34.5-hour working week health cash plan (Core Level 1) 5% employer/5% employee pension 4x salary life assurance and group income protection 25 days’ holiday plus statutory (increasing with service) hybrid working – a blend of home and office time in Leicester training and development opportunities a supportive, collaborative team environment Why join us?
