Senior Electrical Engineer
Join Stantec and help us tackle the urgent climate and efficiency challenges facing our communities. We are looking for a Senior/Principal Electrical Engineer to join our growing team in Glasgow or Edinburgh and make a real impact on vital infrastructure projects across the UK.
Your Role: Driving Design Excellence
You will work in multidisciplinary teams, leading projects from concept design and optioneering through to detailed design and site investigations. Key responsibilities include:
* Producing critical outputs like Single Line Diagrams, Block Cable Diagrams, and Network Infrastructure Diagrams.
* Developing and reviewing technical specifications, control philosophies, and EICA schedules.
* Providing technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
* Liaising with clients, contractors, and stakeholders in technical workshops (e.g., HAZOPs, ALMs).
About You
You are a Chartered or Incorporated Electrical Engineer with significant experience in EICA engineering design. While Water sector experience is a plus, we welcome candidates from the energy, infrastructure, and environmental sectors. A working understanding of DSEAR requirements for EICA design is advantageous. You thrive on collaborating and communicating complex technical solutions.
