ECOMMERCE LEAD (HANDS-ON, P&L FOCUSED)
Location: Birmingham City Centre (5 days on-site)
Salary: £65,000 – £85,000 + Parking Space (if required)
ROLE SUMMARY
This role requires director-level commercial thinking, deep digital marketing expertise, and the ability to execute directly.
We are looking for a hands-on ecommerce operator who can directly improve revenue, margin, and performance across our channels.
You will be in the detail, not managing from a distance, and will take ownership of performance across ecommerce, marketplaces, and digital channels.
WHAT YOU WILL ACTUALLY DO
* Run and optimise Google Ads and Meta Ads (Facebook / Instagram) directly
* Manage and improve Amazon and marketplace performance
* Analyse and improve conversion rate, AOV, and margin
* Work directly with a large product catalogue
* Identify and execute pricing, promotion, and trading opportunities
* Drive email / CRM revenue through segmentation and automation
* Improve SEO performance (technical, on-page, and content)
* Continuously test, iterate, and scale what works
TEAM & COLLABORATION
You will directly manage:
* 2 × Graphic Designers (creative production)
* 1 × Administrator
You will also work closely with:
* 2 × Senior Developers
Your responsibility is to:
* Define what creative assets are required to improve performance
* Brief and manage designers to deliver those assets
* Ensure all output supports commercial goals (conversion, AOV, revenue)
* Work with developers to implement and optimise changes
You are responsible for both defining what needs to be done and ensuring it is delivered.

You will be directly responsible for building and expanding the team under your management as performance scales.
MUST HAVE
* Proven experience running ecommerce performance directly
* Deep digital / online marketing knowledge and experience
Strong understanding of:
* ROAS / CAC / margin
* Pricing and profitability
Hands-on experience with:
* Google Ads
* Meta Ads (Facebook / Instagram)
* SEO (technical + on-page + content)
* Marketplaces (Amazon, eBay, etc.)
* Experience working with a large product catalogue
* Evidence of real, measurable performance improvements

Your experience is primarily:
* Agency-side
* Brand marketing
* Lead generation
You have been:
* Purely managerial
* Not hands-on in recent or previous roles
