Blackpool and The Fylde College (B&FC) are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Specialist Practitioner to join our team and support our English, Maths and Digital community projects in Blackpool.

This dynamic role combines administrative support with small group teaching. You’ll play a vital part in helping adults access learning by supporting enrolments, assessments, and general project administration. Alongside this, you’ll lead engaging sessions in English, Maths and Digital skills, helping learners build confidence and develop essential skills for life and work.

Whether you're an experienced educator or someone with a strong background in community work and a passion for adult learning, we’ll support your development. For those not yet qualified, we offer funding for the Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET), helping you grow into the teaching aspect of the role.

The ideal candidate will be committed to making a difference in Blackpool, bringing energy, empathy and a belief in the transformative power of education. If you're ready to help adults take the next step in their learning journey, we’d love to hear from you.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

As a Specialist Practitioner, your role will be key to delivering engaging, inclusive learning experiences. You will:

2. Deliver and manage high-quality teaching, assessment, and learning support in English, Maths, and Digital skills across all levels and modes of attendance.
3. Facilitate learning and assessment, using innovative methods in classrooms, workshops, labs, and online environments.
4. Prepare, organise, and maintain learning resources and equipment, ensuring safe and effective use.
5. Provide guidance, support, and advice to students, encouraging personal development, independent learning, and achievement.
6. Contribute to curriculum development, scheme of work planning, and quality improvement initiatives within the department.
7. Participate in relevant professional development and team meetings to support continuous improvement.

Why Join Us?

At B&FC, you’ll be part of a fun, forward-thinking team that’s passionate about education. This role offers the opportunity to shape future professionals while continuing your own growth in a collaborative and supportive environment.
