Buckinghamshire Libraries are looking for a Library Resources Assistant to join our friendly team in the High Wycombe Area, based at Hazlemere Library. We seek individuals who share our focus on customer service and enjoy engaging people with services that can enrich their lives.
The salary advertised is the grade level for the role. The actual salary will be pro-rata to 3.5 hours per week.
About us
Buckinghamshire Libraries deliver a modern library service across 29 libraries in communities throughout the county, using a mix of staffed, volunteer-supported, and volunteer-led models.
We are launching Library Flex, an enhanced out-of-hours service allowing self-service access in 8 county libraries, alongside regular staffed services.
About the role
This customer-facing role requires you to be present at a specific site each day and involves working across multiple locations, primarily Hazlemere Library, with occasional travel to other libraries within Buckinghamshire for relief cover.
The role is part-time, 3.5 hours per week, with working days including:
* Mondays
* Tuesdays
* Thursdays
* Fridays
* Sundays
As part of this role, you will:
* Deliver library services directly to customers, handling enquiries about loans, digital services, computer use, and signposting to council services.
* Support library staff with shelving, stock management, and book displays.
This role is based at a fixed location, where most duties will be performed, providing a consistent service point for customers.
