Job Opportunity:Management Accountant
Location:Gateshead (Newcastle Quayside from 2026)
Start Date:August/September 2025 (can be flexible for the right candidate)
Full-Time | £45,000 – £55,000(Depending on Experience and Qualification Level)
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join our small, dynamic finance team. This is a hands-on role reporting directly to the Finance Director, offering exposure across two diverse and fast-growing businesses.
About the Company
You will be part of a compact finance function that includes a Finance Assistant and the Finance Director, supporting a family office with two key interests:
Hadrian Healthcare- Specialises in the development and operation of high-quality luxury care homes. The company has a first-class reputation for introducing innovations in luxury care home living, whilst providing exceptional standards of care. As part of its growth plans, the company has recently acquired severalnew sites for future developments.
MCM Investments– A property investment and development company with a diverse cross-sector portfolio, actively seeking new opportunities for growth.

Must-Haves
* A recognised accounting qualification (CIMA, ACA, or equivalent)
* Strong Excel proficiency (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, SUMIFs, linking cells, visual reporting)
* A passion for high standards and accuracy in financial reporting
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare monthly consolidated management accounts in line with accounting standards and group policies
* Present accurate monthly accounts and financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flows)
* Weekly cash flow forecasting, and review of debtor/sales ledgers and balance sheet reconciliations
* Submit VAT and CIS returns
* Support year-end accounts preparation and external audit process
* Support year-end corporation tax return submittal process
* Work closely with senior management to resolve financial queries
* Identify and implement process improvements
* Provide ad hoc financial support as directed by the Finance Director
Working Hours & Location
* Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm
* Full-time, office-based (home working in exceptional cases only)
* Free on-site parking
* Based in Gateshead (NE11) with a planned move to modern offices on Newcastle Quayside (NE1) in 2026
* Start Date August/September 2025
