Clinical Governance Facilitator

We are seeking a highly motivated Clinical Governance Facilitator to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that there are effective structures and processes in place within the Division of Women’s and Children’s to effectively implement and continuously monitor Clinical Governance activity (i.e. the seven pillars of governance) across the Division alongside the CGF for maternity.
The role involves providing expert leadership and specialist advice, support and feedback on matters relating to clinical governance, including patient safety, clinical risk assessments, and health and safety governance to all grades of staff within the relevant Business Units and Division.
Main duties of the job
* Lead the Division of Women’s and Children’s Governance Team alongside the CGF for maternity, with compassion, kindness, leadership and shape outstanding quality care alongside the multi‑disciplinary team.
* Support the allocated Business Units and their clinical sub‑specialities on all aspects of clinical governance to ensure compliance with Trust and national standards.
* Provide leadership and specialist advice to staff including management and clinicians.
* Provide reports to key Trust level Strategic Committees regarding clinical and patient safety incidents and near‑miss incidents to facilitate effective decision‑making.
* Enable the establishment of a clear stratagem of organisational learning as a result of incidents and other key patient safety and service quality issues.
Qualifications
* Educated to degree level.
* Educated to Masters Level or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
* PSIRF training.
Experience
* Experience of risk management and governance.
* Experience of writing and presenting complex reports for a range of audiences.
* Evidence of delivery of quality improvement.
* Experience of leading teams within complex services.
Skills
* Excellent interpersonal skills and evidence of effective working relationships, skilled in negotiating, problem solving.
* Demonstrable leadership and management skills.
* Analytical and evaluation skills.
* Resilient and ability to work under pressure with set deadlines.
* Ability to manage competing priorities.
