A leading Birmingham-based professional services firm is seeking a highly organised and proactive Legal Assistant to join its Corporate Department. This is a newly created role designed to provide vital administrative support to senior team members, including partners and senior associates. Key Responsibilities - As a Legal Assistant in the Corporate department you will: Deliver high-quality administrative support to senior lawyers within the corporate team Manage diaries and coordinate internal and external meetings Assist in the prioritisation of legal matters and workflow Use the firm’s Learning Management System (LMS) to scan and share documentation with external clients Ensure all client and matter records are accurately maintained within internal systems Conduct Anti-Money Laundering (AML) checks as required Handle phone calls professionally, liaising with clients and colleagues Build and maintain strong working relationships across departments Perform a variety of admin-focused tasks including scanning, checking records and maintaining process compliance Candidate Profile Previous experience in a professional services support or admin role (legal sector preferred) Strong interest in working within a law firm environment Familiarity with AML checks is advantageous Process-driven with excellent attention to detail Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills Self-motivated and capable of working both independently and as part of a team Comfortable managing phone communications in a professional setting Willingness to take initiative and a positive, can-do approach to problem-solving What’s on Offer?
