Cage wash technician

Labcorp is seeking a Cage Wash Technician to join our team in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire.

Work Schedule: Monday Friday 8.30am-5pm

Job Responsibilities:

• Breakdown and cleaning of animal/laboratory equipment.
• Operation of Industrial cleaning equipment including rack, bottle and pressure washers.
• Cleaning of facility corridors, procedure and empty animal rooms. Ensuring enclosures are cleaned in accordance with clear instructions and maintained to the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness
• Ensuring equipment is safe for use, checking and raising repair requests.
• Logistic tasking with receipt, storage, issue and disposal of all items entering a busy facility.
• Operation of mechanical handling equipment.
• Responsible for maintaining regulatory waste streams.
• Accurate recording of data to Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards both IT and written documentation.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Educated to GCSE Level or Equivalent

Additional Job Standards:

• The ability to learn and be flexible as well as the capability to develop the requisite skills required.
• Previous experience in a fast paced, high turnover industrial cleaning role.
• Basic IT skills with focus on MS Office 365.
