Grade 6 | Full‑time | Hybrid | Base: Gailey (with travel across Staffordshire)
Main Responsibilities
* Install, retrieve and maintain traffic counters and survey equipment
* Collect & validate data on traffic volumes, speeds, classifications, turning movements and active travel
* Conduct on‑site inspections, undertake minor equipment repairs and ensure reliable data collection
* Support updates to highway information using digital systems, such as Geographical Information Systems (GIS)
* Contribute to programming survey work, invoicing and liaising with customers, colleagues and external suppliers
The Ideal Candidate
* Confidence working in all weather conditions
* Experience using databases or similar systems
* Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
* A positive and customer‑focused attitude
* Good problem‑solving ability
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* A valid driving licence
A basic understanding of traffic data collection would be helpful, but is not essential.
