I am currently working with an impressive company based in the Lancaster area to recruit an Interim Management Accountant for a 3-month contract.
Due to recent changes within the team, the business needs additional support with month-end activities and management accounts. The company is in a period of growth and positive change, and we are looking for someone with experience and passion to work alongside the Finance Lead.

Duties include:
1. Managing the monthly close process to produce the final Trial Balance each month, facilitating the production of management accounts in line with company requirements.
2. Preparing full variance analysis for sales, contribution, and overheads compared to budget and prior year, providing explanations, understanding variances, and proposing corrective actions as needed.
3. Providing insight and analysis of operational costs across the business.
4. Supporting the development of performance metrics and cost information for operational teams.
5. Assisting the FD in managing the stock take process, ensuring accurate and timely counts, with variances understood and resolved.
6. Ensuring monthly balance sheet reconciliations are completed, with all items understood and cleared promptly.
Skills required for success:
* Attention to detail and a strong analytical approach.
* Extensive experience in management accounting and controlling.
