Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Freelance Chef with Senior Chef experience to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and a commitment to delivering exceptional culinary experiences willing to start work in the Wimbledon area as early as 5.30am. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring food safety standards are met, and leading a team of cooks to create high-quality dishes that delight our guests.
Duties
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
* Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow.
* Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in compliance with health regulations.
* Collaborate with the management team to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings.
* Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed to maintain kitchen operations.
* Train new staff members on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen procedures.
* Ensure the kitchen is organised, clean, and well-maintained at all times.
* Assist in managing kitchen budgets and controlling food costs effectively.
Experience
* Proven experience as a Senior Chef(Sous chef or above) within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
* Strong knowledge of food production techniques, culinary trends, and food safety regulations.
* Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
* Experience in supervising kitchen staff and fostering a positive working environment.
* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and preparation.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
