An exciting opportunity has become available to work within Bereavement Services as a Bereavement Operations Team Leader to manage cemetery and crematorium services. The position is full time (37 hours) per week. the role involves overseeing daily operations, leading and developing a team, managing grounds maintenance and ensuring services meet high standards of care, professionalism and legal compliance.
Key duties include resource planning, maintaining equipment and sites, liaising with stakeholders (such as families and funeral directors), handling sensitive situations with empathy, and overseeing legal processes like exhumations.
The ideal candidate is organised, resilient, and a strong communicator with a customer-focussed approach. The position is full-time (37 hours per week) with flexibility required.

You will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of burial and cremation services, ensuring they are delivered to the highest standards of professionalism, care, and legal compliance. You will lead, motivate, and develop a frontline team, while maintaining a strong focus on customer service and operational excellence.
The successful candidate will have:

3. A broad knowledge of Health and Safety
4. A clean driving licence
