Who you’ll deal with:Internal: Colleagues, Line Manager, Support Functions.External: Suppliers, Auditors, HMRC.What you’ll be doing:Follow up on delivery queries, shortages etc. with suppliersProvide estimated usage levelsKeep the operation informed on product issuesCarry out investigations into delivery failures and put corrective actions into placeCarry out stock takes as necessary and use information to manage ordering levels and prevent shortagesHighlight any shelf-life issues to the operations teamLiaise with the operations regarding menu and product changes promptlyEnsure information is entered correctly on SAP and deal with troubleshoots promptlyReconcile theoretical and physical stock levelsEnsure any quality issues are resolved with minimal impact on the customerEnsure period end stock takes are correctly completed and entered onto SAPManage wastage and stock holdings in line with targetsEnsure all goods are received in line with due diligence and compliance targetsInvestigation of Substitutions and reporting actions to Line ManagerCommunicate issues and concerns to the Line Manager as requiredEnsure effective waste control in line with best practice through trend analysis and subsequent reviewing and agreeing action plans in conjunction with Line ManagerAudit of food deliveries to ensure all Compliance standards are met as defined by the Vendor Rating SystemAgree corrective actions with appropriate personnel and reviewing effectiveness of actionsEnsure Due Diligence paperwork is completed, reviewed, and actioned as requiredEnsure security processes are maintained so that security of equipment, personnel and stock may be assuredEnsure that “Housekeeping” activities are undertaken as requiredDesign, monitor, and review plans to implement changes to customer requirementsReceipting delivery of orders and ensure good stock rotation to prevent product expiryEnsure packing operatives have the correct stock available This list is not exhaustive, accountabilities may vary dependant on locality or role complexity and may include any other duties considered reasonable by the line manager.What you’ll have:Experience of purchasing and inventory management within a fast moving and changing work environment.Ability to plan, organise and delegate effectively, with attention to detail working in a methodical and logical styleAbility to deliver as directed within set targets with an understanding of cost and control managementAbility to multi-task in a pressured environment and work to tight deadlinesDemonstrate effective communication skills (verbal and non-verbal) and be able to communicate effectively at all levelsDemonstrate the drive to operate to the highest of standards especially during periods of changeAbility to solve problems, generate innovative solutions and make justified decisions that influence key stakeholdersFlexible to work outside of normal working pattern to cover when required
