Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the national curriculum for KS3 and KS4.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes a love of mathematics and builds student confidence.
Use a range of assessment methods to monitor progress and provide effective feedback.
Support students in preparing for GCSE mathematics examinations.
Contribute to curriculum development, departmental planning, and resource creation.
Participate in school-wide initiatives, CPD, and extracurricular activities such as maths clubs or competitions.
Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management.Person Specification:Essentials:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
A degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject.
Experience teaching mathematics at secondary level.
Strong understanding of the KS3 and KS4 mathematics curriculum.
Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.Desirable:
Experience teaching GCSE Higher Tier or involvement in exam preparation.
Familiarity with digital tools and platforms to enhance learning.
