Full Time, Open Ended Position.
The Estates and Facilities management team at Loughborough Campus is seeking a skilled BMS (Building Management System) Technician to support the operation, maintenance, and optimisation of its building automation systems.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting the Estates and Facilities department by collaborating with colleagues, tenants, energy managers, and external contractors.
* Undertaking planned and reactive maintenance on building control systems such as TREND and Niagara 4.
* Monitoring and analysing building performance using the Skyspark analytics platform to identify inefficiencies and faults.
* Carrying out diagnostics and repairs on BMS-controlled systems including HVAC, lighting, and utilities.
* Maintaining system documentation, wiring schematics, and asset records.
The role also contributes to energy-saving initiatives and sustainability strategies, aligning with the university’s focus on Climate Change and Net Zero.
Candidate requirements:
* Experience as a BMS Technician, preferably in a complex estate or university environment.
* Proficiency in reading schematic drawings.
* Familiarity with Skyspark, Trend IQVision, Niagara 4, or similar platforms.
* Electrical or Mechanical Engineering background (minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
* Strong fault-finding, system tuning, and control logic skills.
* Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
