Job Description
The Part Time Accountant will:
3. .Payment & Banking: Process weekly and ad‑hoc payment runs, load payments through banking platforms, monitor daily bank balances, and complete bank reconciliations.
4. Financial Processing: Maintain accurate general ledger entries, support month‑end and quarter‑end close (journals, accruals, reconciliations), and manage accounting schedules and internal controls.
5. Reporting & Compliance: Assist with management reporting and financial statements, prepare and submit monthly/quarterly VAT returns, and ensure compliance with HMRC and group policies.
6. Additional Support: Maintain organised financial records, assist with audit preparation, contribute to process improvements, and handle general ad‑hoc accounting tasks.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Part Time Accountant should have:
7. A strong background in accounting, ideally within the property industry.
8. Relevant qualifications in accounting or finance.
9. Proficiency in financial software and tools.
10. Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
11. Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
12. Ability to work independently and manage tasks remotely.
