Are you an experienced Behaviour Support Assistant looking for work in Bradford?
Winner Education are recruiting for a Behaviour Support Assistant to work in a secondary school in the Bradford area. We are seeking a TA who has previous experience with behaviour support. This role is full time and to start ASAP. This role will run until the end of term in October but has potential to be extended.
The successful Behaviour Support Assistant must:
Have proven experience supporting pupil behaviour and SEMH needs
in a school setting.
Use proactive and restorative approaches
to de-escalate incidents, rebuild relationships, and promote positive choices.
Implement and review behaviour/support plans
in partnership with teachers, SENDCo and pastoral/attendance teams.
Deliver targeted interventions
(1:1 and small groups) on emotional regulation, social skills, and resilience.
Track and report behaviour data
(e.g., CPOMS/SIMS or similar) to identify patterns and inform next steps.
Build positive, trusted relationships
with pupils, families and external agencies, promoting inclusion and high expectations.
Support across the school day —including transitions, unstructured times, on-call, reflection/inclusion room and detentions where required.
Demonstrate excellent behaviour management, staying calm under pressure and maintaining a safe, purposeful environment.
Be a collaborative team player
with clear communication and a solution-focused mindset.
Understand safeguarding and child protection
(KCSIE) and follow school policies consistently.
Desirable:
training in Team-Teach/positive handling (or equivalent), first aid, and experience with EAL/SEND.
