Join Walsall Council as an experienced Occupational Therapist in a hybrid, community-based role. This position offers the chance to make a significant impact by supporting adults with diverse needs through a person-centered, strength-based approach. Your work will focus on promoting independence, wellbeing, and meaningful daily engagement. You'll operate autonomously within a supportive team, managing your own caseload and contributing to high-quality enablement interventions across the community.
Responsibilities
* Utilize strong clinical knowledge of learning disabilities, mental health conditions, and neurodiversity to guide assessments and interventions.
* Conduct high-quality, strength-based assessments with a person-centered focus.
* Work independently and confidently as an Occupational Therapist, leveraging previous community experience to inform practice and decision-making.
* Effectively manage and prioritize your caseload, with access to supervision as needed.
* Complete Enablement Assessments and collaborate with individuals, carers, and colleagues to create tailored Enablement Plans.
* Provide clear clinical guidance and instructions to Enablement Officers to ensure effective interventions and positive outcomes.
Requirements

* HCPC registered Occupational Therapist
* Enhanced DBS (Adults)
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
