We are looking for a Lead Quality Engineer to play a key role in delivering quality engineering across our technology landscape, helping to ensure consistent, scalable and high-quality delivery aligned to our strategic objectives. In this role, you’ll help deliver and embed modern testing practices, supporting automation, performance and security testing across the full software development lifecycle. You’ll contribute to our technology modernisation agenda, ensuring quality is built in from the outset and continuously improved. Reporting into the Deputy Head of Testing, you’ll work closely with stakeholders across engineering, product and operations while supporting and developing a high-performing team. You’ll bring a strong balance of hands-on technical expertise and collaborative leadership, helping to deliver reliable, secure and customer-focused solutions across a complex, regulated environment. This role can be based from our Chatham or Wolverhampton offices. As Lead Quality Engineer you will play a key role in executing quality engineering initiatives, helping to embed robust, scalable and innovative testing practices across all technology delivery. We are looking for talented individuals who have the experience and knowledge set out below: Proven experience in a Lead/Senior Quality Engineer or similar role, with a strong focus on test automation within a regulated/financial services organisation Experience contributing to and scaling automation frameworks across complex environments Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams within complex, fast-paced environments Strong hands-on experience with API, UI and BDD test automation, alongside proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g. Java, Python, JavaScript or C#) Hands-on experience with performance testing and test management tools, including Gatling Enterprise, Zephyr, and BrowserStack Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools, combined with a solid understanding of cloud platforms and containerisation technologies Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging at a senior level and the ability to influence both technical and non-technical audiences If this sounds like you, please apply now!
