Salary: £48,900 – £68,510

Outsource UK is recruiting for a Principal Corporate Risk Specialist on behalf of a key public sector client in Scotland. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping and strengthening corporate risk practices across an essential national service provider.
About the Role
You'll join the Corporate Risk Team for a fixed-term period of 12 months. Your work will span a wide range of dynamic risk landscapes, from climate adaptation and infrastructure investment to regulatory strategy and long-term business planning.
Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Act as the main contact for risk on the 2027–33 business plan (SRC27)
2. Identify, assess, and analyse key risks and opportunities
3. Use or interpret Monte Carlo risk analysis (e.g. @Risk) to support decision-making
4. Support and advise specific business areas on risk management
5. Build strong, trust-based relationships across teams
6. Promote a positive risk culture and embed best practices
7. Prepare clear risk reports for senior leaders and governance groups
8. Support external risk reporting in the Annual Report
