If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you Randstad Education is seeking a compassionate and highly skilled SEN Teaching Assistant for a rewarding role in a specialist primary setting in the Bradford area, focusing on Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD).
Key Responsibilities:
As a specialist TA, your role will focus entirely on the pupils holistic needs and well:being. Your responsibilities will include:

Planning and delivering immersive, sensory:rich activities (e.g., hydrotherapy, tactile engagement) aligned with individualised learning goals.
*
Assisting confidently with all aspects of personal care, including feeding, hygiene, and changing, maintaining the pupils dignity at all times.
*
Safely using specialist equipment (hoists, wheelchairs) and applying approved Moving and Handling techniques to support mobility.
*
Utilising non:verbal communication methods (objects of reference, gesture) to build rapport and aid interaction.
*
Implementing programmes set by Speech and Language Therapists (SALT) and Occupational Therapists (OT) within the classroom.
Requirements:
To excel in this position, you must possess:

Extensive, recent experience supporting children with PMLD or complex physical disabilities.
*
Proven confidence in providing personal care and using specialist manual handling equipment.
*
An Enhanced Child DBS on the update service (or be willing for a new one).
*
The legal right to work in the UK without any restrictions.
*
Training certificates in Moving and Handling and/or Team Teach are highly advantageous.
*
Exceptional patience, reliability, and physical fitness necessary for the demands of the role.
