About the Client
Our client is committed to efficiency, innovation, and operational excellence. They are looking for a Purchaasing Manager who can take ownership of site level procurement, keep suppliers performing, and maintain a smooth and cost effective supply chain.
The Role
As Purchasing Manager, you will lead a team of three and manage a site budget of around £10 million. Your focus will be on production buying and keeping the supply chain moving without disruption. You will work closely with internal teams and global procurement to support strategy, improve supplier performance, and keep materials flowing to plan.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead site procurement operations and ensure steady supplier performance.
2. Drive procurement strategy and support global procurement planning.
3. Manage supplier relationships, carry out negotiations where needed, and resolve performance issues.
4. Monitor shortages and act quickly to prevent operational impact.
5. Keep purchasing cost effective while maintaining the right inventory levels.
6. Align local activity with Global Category Managers.
