We are currently recruiting for a Fabrication Manager - who also enjoys generating new business for our steel fabricating client who offers metalwork solutions across Yorkshire and the surrounding areas. They are based in Donacster (DN5)
Salary: Starting at £38-45k + Company Car

Hours of Work:
Monday - Friday 08:00am - 17:00pm (Can be flexible on this)

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Commercial Awareness: Drive Sales by building & relationships with clients both new & existing clients. Collaborating with the clients to understand their requirements providing technical guidance & quotations ensuring customer satisfaction leading to an increase profitability of the department.
Operational Leadership: Oversee all fabrication operations, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Technical Expertise: Utilise AutoCAD (2D & 3D) to support precision in sheet metal design and fabrication processes.
Equipment Management: Optimise the use of advanced machinery, including an 8mm press brake (3m width), guillotine, plate rollers to enhance production efficiency.
Process Improvement: Implement strategies to increase production capacity by up to 30%, focusing on work flow optimisation and lead time reduction.
Team Development: Lead and mentor the fabrication team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and adherence to safety protocols.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all fabricated components meet client specifications and comply with ISO 9001 and UKCA standards.ABOUT YOU:
Experience: Extensive experience in steel fabrication management, with a strong background in multi-fabrication environments.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD software; previous hands on welding experience advantageous.
Leadership Ability: Demonstrated success in leading teams, managing change, and driving a culture of excellence.
Operational Efficiency: Proven track record of optimising fabrication processes and equipment utilisation.
