Turpin & Miller (Oxford) – Solicitor or Senior Caseworker, Immigration
Turpin Miller is seeking a solicitor or senior caseworker to join our deportation team working within our prison projects.
We are looking for a person who is accredited as a Senior Caseworker and has 1+ years of experience in immigration law. We are also interested in candidates with relevant experience who are committed to working with us.
The deportation team provides representation to individuals facing deportation in the women’s prison estate, to young offenders, and to those in HMP Huntercombe, a foreign national-only prison outside Oxford.
The role is fast-paced and varied, involving significant client contact. Responsibilities include managing a busy caseload, drafting witness statements, gathering evidence, and preparing legal aid applications.
The team’s caseload is funded under our legal aid contract. Two projects are run in partnership with the Bonavero Institute for Human Rights at Oxford University. Our team is experienced and committed to providing excellent representation throughout the deportation process, and we are expanding our public law practice.
Salary depends on experience, ranging from £25,000 to £33,000.
Our office is based in Oxford. Flexible working arrangements are possible and can be discussed upon application.
