You'll work alongside experienced engineers and scientists contributing to the development of secure satellite systems, complex ground segment design, and communication technologies that protect and empower the UK and allied forces. As part of this degree apprenticeship, you will be studying towards achieving a BSc in Aeronautics and Space which will be provided by the University of Surrey.
What you will be doing:
* Support the design, development, and testing of Space ground control infrastructure, land, Maritime and Aero systems. Be involved in the systems design of space craft management systems and Wide area network solutions;
* Assist with system modelling, simulations, and data analysis for mission-critical operations;
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams in engineering, IT, and project management;
* Participate in research and development (R&D) to support innovation in defence technologies;
* Help draft technical documentation, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders;
* Work closely with mentors while progressing through university studies and structured on-the-job training;
* Support the development of technical inputs to support business development and sales opportunities.
To be eligible for this apprenticeship, you must have a minimum of:
* 3 A Levels (or equivalent) at grade C or above, including Maths and at least one Science or Technical subject (or completed Level 3 Apprenticeship in a relevant discipline)
* 5 GCSEs at grade 4/C or above including English Language, Maths, and a STEM subject
* A strong interest in space, engineering, cybersecurity, or defence technologies.
