Job Description:
Reporting to the Water Project Management Delivery Lead for the UK, your role as Senior Project Manager will involve delivering work with water companies or the Environment Agency in the Midlands area, with opportunities to work in the North West of England in consultancy roles. There will also be potential for progression across the UK Water, Environment, Rail, or Nuclear sectors.
As a Senior Project Manager, you should have experience in pre- and post-contract management under NEC 3 or NEC 4 ECC forms and procurement within the UK water, environment, rail, or nuclear sectors. Your role will involve utilizing your project experience to drive efficiencies, manage supply chains, and oversee contracts.
Experience with Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) and/or Early Subcontractor Involvement (ESI) in design and build major capital programmes is essential.

This role is primarily office-based (4 days in Tamworth, 1 day remote).
Role Responsibilities:
General
* Manage NEC3/4 Option A, C, E ECC contracts on the client side
* Control budgets
* Coordinate with Quantity Surveyors on payment valuations and certifications
* Forecast costs and determine defined costs with QS
* Build and maintain stakeholder relationships
* Maintain project and commercial records as per contract
* Draft contract communications, notices, and manage contractual issues
Pre-Contract Activities
* Conduct project scope planning, cost estimates, feasibility studies
* Prepare and evaluate tenders
* Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies
* Engage with contractors early in design
Post-Contract Activities
* Manage construction contracts
* Monitor expenditure and cash flow
* Evaluate and negotiate change orders
* Handle claims and disputes
* Conduct final accounts and post-project review
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant numeric field
* Full membership of a chartered body such as APM (MAPM)
* Extensive postgraduate experience in Rail, Nuclear, Water, or Environment sectors
* Experience in line management and recruiting project staff
* Knowledge of CDM regulations
* Risk management skills
* Valid CSCS and Water Hygiene Card preferred
* Experience working as a main contractor or joint venture client-side
* Proficiency with NEC3/4 contracts (A-C-E essential)
* Legal right to work in the UK
