About the Job
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher Practitioner / Learning Coach to support adult learners in achieving their goals and contribute to the wider needs of the community.
Responsibilities
* Teach on a range of planned programmes, including Adult Skills, Apprenticeships, and Tailored Learning Programmes.
* Deliver high‑quality, engaging classes, lead workshops, and provide personalised guidance and support to students across different courses.
* Support learners to progress and succeed in their chosen pathways and contribute to their academic progress and personal development.
* Use Information Learning Technology (ILT) to enhance teaching and learning.
* Apply quality assurance processes and support the learner journey.
* Embed English, maths, and digital skills into learning programmes.
* Safeguard students and promote learner wellbeing.
* Work across different sites within the Borough, including evenings and occasional weekends as required.
Qualifications
* Minimum Level 4 teaching qualification, alongside a Level 3 or higher qualification in your area of specialism.
* Level 2 qualification in English and maths or willingness to achieve one.
* Strong communication skills and empathy.
* Experience using ILT.
* Knowledge of equality, diversity and inclusion within adult and community learning.
* Strong commitment to safeguarding and learner wellbeing.
