Purpose of the role
We’re offering an exciting opportunity to become a key player in our dynamic and rapidly expanding reusable bag division. You will work closely with UK and EU suppliers, our Solent Asia buying team, and a range of internal stakeholders across commercial, technical, design and supply chain departments. The role offers strong development potential, including opportunities for UK and international travel as you grow with the business.
Responsibilities
* Drive business growth through New Product Development (NPD).
* Manage product development from concept stage to finished goods.
* Coordinate production deliverables through the HK buying team.
* Prepare presentations for key customer meetings.
* Lead project implementation with cross-functional teams (technical & design) to create market-leading briefs.
* Maintain the project management tool Asana with accurate, up-to-date content.
* Review consumer insights and trends to inform decisions.
* Engage with stakeholders to ensure project viability.
* Problem solve and respond to customer deadlines/requests.
* Review emails and project requirements, conduct meetings, schedule and monitor metrics.
* Conduct market and trend analysis to inform product plans.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Interest in fashion and clothing trends; passion for textiles and licensing.
* Ability to understand and manage a critical path.
* Manufacturing knowledge, ideally with FE suppliers.
* Project management experience across multiple SKUs and categories.
* Experience working cross-functionally with multiple teams.
* Market and trend understanding to overlay onto product plans.
* Strong supplier relationships with a commercial mindset.
* Trade show and supplier visit experience.
* Proven problem solving and solution delivery on previous projects.
* Ability to lead clear briefs and communicate effectively to buying teams.
* Understanding of the technical makeup of products.
* Confident in delivering exceptional presentations to customers.
* Ideally 3+ years of product development experience.
