About Chevron Traffic Management
Chevron Traffic Management sets up temporary road or lane closures, diversion routes, or pedestrian walkways to ensure safety during roadworks. This involves installing cones, signage, temporary traffic lights, pedestrian crossings, and barriers. Our work is visible nationwide. We also engage in consulting, planning, designing, estimating, liaising with suppliers and customers, and implementing innovative technology to improve safety and reduce our carbon footprint.

Role of Fleet Manager
We seek a proactive and experienced Fleet Manager to oversee operations across the North East Region, based full-time at either Scunthorpe or Retford depot. Responsibilities include fleet compliance, maintenance, procurement, reporting, and leading continuous improvement initiatives to ensure efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
Responsibilities
* Lead daily fleet operations across multiple depots
* Manage and support the Fleet Administrator, encouraging development
* Ensure compliance with MOT, tax, certifications, and standards
* Monitor vehicle checks, service records, and maintenance schedules
* Coordinate repairs and servicing with garages and suppliers
* Oversee vehicle handovers and maintain documentation
* Source vehicles and parts, negotiate contracts and pricing
* Handle external repairs, warranty, and accident repairs
* Respond to PCNs and traffic offences with proper documentation
* Maintain fleet database with up-to-date records
* Administer insurance claims and liaise with insurers
* Ensure accurate accident reporting with evidence
* Collaborate with senior management on fleet policies and improvements
* Produce regular performance and compliance reports
Essential Attributes
* Strong computer literacy, especially in Microsoft Excel
* Proven experience in fleet management or related roles
* Experience in team leadership or line management
* Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills
* Ability to lead and motivate teams across locations
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
* Self-motivated with a proactive approach
* Reliable with excellent time management and attention to detail
