Trainee Quantity Surveyor
Location: Dartford
Salary: A GBP 28,000 : A GBP 30,000 per annum
Are you passionate about building a rewarding commercial career in construction? Our client, a well:established construction and property services company, is seeking a motivated Trainee Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team.
You will be supporting experienced Quantity Surveyors in delivering cost:effective project outcomes for a range of building and refurbishment works, assisting with commercial administration and gaining practical experience in industry best practice.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist the commercial team with cost control and forecasting
* Support measurement, take:offs and preparation of bills of quantities
* Help prepare valuations, applications and subcontract assessments
* Contribute to procurement activities and subcontract tender evaluation
* Assist in reviewing contracts and commercial documentation
* Support reporting and commercial records in line with company procedures
* Work collaboratively with project managers, engineers and suppliers
About You
* Educated to degree level (or working towards) in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related discipline
* Excellent organisation, numeracy and communication skills
* Commercially curious and eager to learn on:the:job
* Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment
