Location: Huntingdon (PE29) Duration: Permanent Hours: Full-time flexible with part-time hours considered (Monday to Friday) Salary: Competitive Job Reference: 35585 Polytec are looking for a Senior Accounts Assistant for our Huntingdon based client, the role will have a focus on the purchase ledger, bank, sales and fixed asset register. Responsibilities: * Process purchase invoices and employee expense forms in a timely manner * Prepare and process twice-monthly payment run reports * Reconcile supplier statements to aged creditor reports within the accounting system resolving any issues * Maintain the purchase ledger database for current suppliers' contact details, adding new suppliers as required * Complete VAT returns * Month End activities Requirements: * At least 5 GCSEs at grade C or above, preferably A level qualification * Strong experience working within a Finance department, preferably involving purchase ledger * Experience of working a hi-tech or RandD organisation would be beneficial * Competency in double entry bookkeeping and accounting principles * Excellent IT skills with advanced proficiency in MS Excel * A good knowledge of accounting software (SUN Systems advantageous) Please contact us as soon as possible for more details or apply below
