Position Summary
The Lactation Consultant provides quality care related to lactation and the use of human milk to our patients and mothers using the principles of family-centered care. This position maintains a collaborative, supportive relationship with the healthcare team to advise on evidence-based practice related to lactation. Along with other members of a care team, this role is responsible for patient outcomes that meet the high standards of care provided by JHACH.

20 hours per week (Schedule either 5p-9p Wed-Sun OR 3:30p-9p Thurs-Sun)
Qualifications
* Undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university
* Recognized Health Professional (Nurse, Dietitian/Nutritionist, Speech Therapist)
* Certification as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) through International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners or Certified Lactation Counselor/Certified Lactation Educator with eligibility to take exam for IBCLC within one year of hire
* At least 1 year experience in clinical setting
Salary Range
Minimum $36.52/hour - Maximum $58.44/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
