ABOUT CATS UFP
CGS offers an outstanding international pre-university educational experience to students aged 14+ from all over the world. Students live and work at our school campuses, studying for GCSEs, A levels, IB and University Foundation Programmes, and preparing for admission to universities across the country and elsewhere. We pride ourselves on our approach to teaching and learning, with small class sizes and an informal atmosphere ensuring that students are treated as individuals and build great relationships with staff.
OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
You will write assessments and/or assessment related material including, but not limited to updates to the subject specification, assessment briefs, assessment rubrics as well as preparing moderation and standardisation materials for your subject. In addition, you will be asked to work with the Director/Assistant Director CATS UFP on standardisation and moderation of candidates’ work and on the annual specification review for your subject. There may also be some occasions where you will be asked to participate in training less experienced colleagues within your subject area. The length of tenure is reviewed on an annual basis. All assessments, unless explicitly communicated by the relevant Director/Assistant Director CATS UFP must be written and uploaded to either Teams or DigiExam prior to the assessment deadline.
REPORTS TO
You will be directly responsible to, and under the general direction of, the Director of CATS UFP and/or the Assistant Director of CATS UFP. You will work within the framework set by the CATS UFP Examination Board. The Examination Board includes the Director of CATS UFP, the Assistant Director of CATS UFP, and the UFP External Examiners and is the formal structure through which the programme is managed and assured.
