We are seeking a Chief Executive who understands the enabling power of local authorities, who can work in partnership across various stakeholders and agencies, work with the private sector including developers and investment vehicles, and connect with our communities. Hartlepool is a proud borough, ensuring that we deliver for our residents is key to our success. As Chief Executive you will understand the importance of empowering others, working closely with political leaders to ensure that strategic priorities are realised, whilst ensuring the organisation is well led and financially resilient with strong governance in place.
* Understand the enabling power of local authorities and their role in community development.
* Work in partnership across various stakeholders and agencies, including the private sector.
* Navigate relationships with developers and investment vehicles.
* Engage with and connect to local communities.
* Empower teams and lead organisation culture.
* Collaborate closely with political leaders to realise strategic priorities.
* Ensure the organisation is well‑led, financially resilient and governed with strong oversight.
