Northern State University, home to Wolves athletics, which sponsors 15 NCAA Division II
intercollegiate varsity sports that compete in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Athletic
Conference ( NSIC ) is seeking candidates for the Assistant AD – Communications & Fan
Engagement position.

The position responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting efforts related to the
communications and fan engagement operations of the department. The position will serve as a
primary media contact for multiple sports and assist with statistics inputting, press releases,
social media promotion, and other day-to-day athletic communication functions. The position
will also assist the with implementation of in game promotions, activation of corporate
partnerships, game script writing and videoboard operations. The position will also assist with all
departmental fundraising events, as well as other duties that may be assigned by the Director of
Athletics.

Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s preferred).
* 1-3 years of athletic administration experience at the collegiate level preferred.
* A working knowledge of hosting NCAA championships and/or other major sports events
is preferred.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues,
student-athletes, and administrators.
* Demonstrated successful fundraising, marketing and promotion experience in athletics.
* Experience working with NCAA LiveStats by Genius and StatCrew platforms preferred.
* Willingness to travel and work evenings and weekends as required.

Northern State University is home to one of the strongest community and regional athletics fan bases in the country. The NSU men’s and women’s basketball programs have led the nation in attendance for NCAA Division II for an unprecedented twelve years running. NSU is home to 15 intercollegiate sports and all compete in the 16 member Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference ( NSIC )
