Sustainability Consultant – BREEAM / Building Performance

We’re working with a well-established building services consultancy that is looking to appoint an experienced BREEAM Assessor to join their sustainability team.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead and deliver BREEAM assessments across a variety of projects
* Develop and implement early‑stage sustainability and energy strategies
* Produce clear and detailed sustainability and environmental reports
* Collaborate with design teams to embed low‑energy principles at concept stage
* Support delivery of energy and sustainability assessments, including:
o Embodied carbon and circular economy inputs
o Overheating and thermal comfort assessments
o Energy and infrastructure demand evaluations
* Contribute to client workshops and design team discussions
* Stay up to date with evolving UK regulations, standards, and best practice in sustainable design
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience delivering BREEAM assessments independently
* Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations (Part L and related standards)
* Experience using tools such as One Click LCA and/or IES (advantageous)
* Background in building services, sustainability, environmental science, or similar
* Strong communication skills and a collaborative working style
* Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively
