Overview
We are looking for a primary Teaching Assistant for a role on the outskirts of Preston in a fantastic primary school. The school serves a dynamic and lively community and offers opportunities for growth. The school caters for students aged 4 - 11, including some with additional learning needs.
Responsibilities
* Work closely with class teachers to support pupils across a range of abilities and help deliver engaging and inclusive lessons.
* Provide targeted support to individual children and small groups, particularly those who may need extra help to stay focused, manage emotions, or access the curriculum.
* Support behaviour management strategies, assist with classroom routines, and help create a safe and positive learning environment.
Qualifications and qualities
* Experience working with pupils with additional needs, including those with social, emotional, or behavioural difficulties, would be highly beneficial.
* Calm under pressure, adaptable, and passionate about improving outcomes for all children.
* Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to be a positive presence in a child’s daily life.
Salary and benefits
