Your new company You will be joining an established civil engineering and groundworks contractor based in Derby. This multi-accredited principal contractor has a strong pipeline of work across multiple industries, delivering projects valued at up to £20m for high-profile clients, and offers excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development. Due to continued success, they are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their high-performing commercial team. This is a full-time permanent position based out of their Derby office with the option for flexible working. Your new role As Quantity Surveyor, your responsibilities will include: Preparing cost estimates, budgets and tender documents Managing project finances, including cost planning, forecasting and reporting Conducting valuations, variations and final accounts Monitoring project progress and ensuring financial efficiency Liaising with clients and subcontractors to ensure contractual compliance Providing advice on contractual claims and procurement strategies Supporting delivery teams with commercial and contractual guidance Ensuring compliance with HSE regulations. What you'll need to succeed In order to be successful, you must have: Degree/HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying (or similar) or experience equivalent Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role within the civil engineering industry Sound working knowledge of NEC form of contract Excellent negotiation, interpersonal and organisational skills Full UK driving licence.
