The Sales Intermediaries (SI) and Distributor(DX)s Lead serves as Pfizer’s key commercial representative in designated markets, ensuring optimal SIs and DXs performance and alignment with Pfizer’s strategic objectives. This role is pivotal in managing sales intermediaries and distributor relationships, driving market growth, and ensuring compliance with operational and commercial standards. The role also supports the execution of Sales Intermediaries Lifecycle Management, shaping a culture of active and compliant Dx management across the VMG countries. This role will either directly manage or act as a player coach to the Sales Intermediaries Contract Specialist. Responsibilities: You will serve as the Single Point of Accountability (SPA) for SI and DX topics. Ensure all contractual agreements are up to date and reflecting the suitable business model. Foster strategic partnerships with commercial teams across VMG countries that manage distributor relationships, ensuring alignment and consistency in execution. Collaborate with Finance teams across VMG markets to continuously review and optimize Gross-to-Net (G2N) KPIs, identifying distributor-related financial levers and opportunities. Design, develop, and evaluate suitable distributor management strategies and co-lead competitive bidding processes (as needed) Role model an active leadership on “Winning the Right Way” and establish a strong culture of strict compliance to applicable regulations and internal policies, developing education and remediation plans when needed. Shape the culture of active and compliant SI/3rd Party Management and provide the necessary local guidance, tools, training & coaching. Provide strategic recommendations and proposals to local Leadership teams across VMG, supporting informed decision-making on SI and DX topics and landscape optimization. Identify SI and Dx landscape optimization needs and commercial opportunities. Consolidate internal and external intelligence as a foundation for strategy development. Monitor SI and DX contracts; partner in contract negotiations; lead termination and renewal processes. Develop and own the process to manage the SI/DX lifecycle from Pfizer’s perspective (e.g., onboarding new partners, managing separations), in coordination with the contracts specialist. Work closely with Compliance and Risk leads to ensure potential risks are mitigated and/or existing risks are rectified. Ensure alignment of all internal stakeholders in distributor management, including Legal, Procurement, Finance, GSC, Compliance, Quality, and Regulatory. Given the nature of the contracts, ensure strong cross-BU collaboration and support in line with the ONE Pfizer approach. Qualifications: Strong proven experience Bachelor's degree required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred. Deep knowledge & experience of the pharmaceutical industry, healthcare environment and market channels. Proven expertise in managing SI and distributor relationships. Experience in drafting, negotiating, and concluding commercial and distribution agreements. Strong understanding of commercial trade terms and rules. Familiarity with international trade and compliance regulations. Executive maturity and proven success operating in a matrix organization with senior stakeholder engagement. Ability to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously and efficiently. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets. Ability to execute strategic plans effectively. Adaptability to changing environments and ability to manage multiple priorities. Problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivering results.
