Position
The University Museum of Zoology, Cambridge is seeking a full‑time, fixed‑term Collections Assistant (Projects) to support a major collections move programme.
About the Role
You will be working alongside the Collections Team supporting all collections management and collections care functions with a particular focus on the safe movement of specimens into dedicated stores in our David Attenborough Building and reconfiguration of these stores to accommodate these collections.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the relocation of collections and labs housed in a nearby building.
* Assist with documentation, packing, and storage of natural history collections.
* Ensure safe movement and reconfiguration of stores in the David Attenborough Building.
Qualifications
* Practical collections management and care experience.
* Experience in documentation, packing, and storage of specimens.
Employment Details
* Full‑time, 36.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
* Fixed‑term for up to 18 months.
* Based at the site.
