This post will lead the development and delivery of this goal and work with the wider team to achieve our 2030 ambition to become a national urban resilience demonstrator.
Role Summary
The successful applicant will report to the Director of People & Operations, providing strategic leadership and operational delivery management of our talented and dedicated learning and visitor teams. The post will lead the whole organisation and site visitor and events programme, the activation of our venues and spaces, our blended heritage, nature and resilience education offer and our new green skills hub. This post and team will also hold our important heritage and culture stewardship and curatorial responsibilities spanning Tudor, industrial, regeneration and resilience era's. The postholder will need to be an excellent relationship builder, have a solid business mind and be both strategic and adaptive and able to focus on detail.
Key Responsibilities
This role will lead the development, delivery and management of our visitor and events programme, activation of venues and spaces, blended heritage and resilience education, and new green skills hub. It will oversee heritage stewardship and curatorial duties across Tudor, industrial, regeneration, and resilience eras.
Qualifications and Experience
* A seasoned educator wanting to increase the routes into green skills.
* An expert in developing and delivering education and life enhancing opportunities for young people and local families.
* An established events manager bringing their expertise to novel challenges.
* An experienced fundraiser and partnership builder who also wants the satisfaction of delivering the projects they have won.

Terms & Conditions
Fixed term for one year as a new role in our structure, with potential to become permanent.
Salary and Working Hours
Salary: £38,031.48 - £39,526.68
Working hours: 37.5 hours per week, predominantly Monday - Friday but with the requirement to work occasional evenings and weekends to support events and openings.
