Endoscopy Lead Practitioner – The Park Hospital, Nottingham – 32 Hours & Permanent – Salary: Up to £46,500.00 per year (depending on level of experience, training, and qualification)

We are looking for an Endoscopy Lead Practitioner to join the Endoscopy department. This part‑time role involves covering a flexible shift pattern.
Responsibilities
* Support, coordinate, and actively assist in the management and organisation of care provision within the Endoscopy Unit.
* Provide quality planned care for patients during their peri‑procedure phase by delivering appropriate clinical supervision and managerial leadership.
* Implement best practice standards (HTM 01–06, Royal College guidelines, GRS, JAG, etc.) in endoscopy service delivery.
* Develop and support business initiatives, policies, and strategies that improve the service delivered to all customers.
* Adhere to the departmental decontamination programme for flexible endoscopes.
* Participate in completing all departmental risk assessments, COSHH assessments, and implementing action plans to address risk.
* Comply with all relevant mandatory training.
Qualifications
* Previous experience as a Senior Registered Practitioner or equivalent in an endoscopy service.
* Experience and training in pain management, care of the deteriorating patient, and care of patients under conscious sedation requiring monitored recovery.
* Experience in clinical governance and audit.
* Experience applying clinical reasoning skills across a range of patient case mix and competence across a range of skills, including clinical and decontamination.
* Evidence of working in partnership with Consultants to explore and challenge existing practices while maintaining and enhancing services and standards.
* Registration as a Practitioner with NMC or HCPC.
* Basic and advanced competence / qualification in Endoscopy Care and Decontamination.
* Operators and Managers Course in Endoscopy Decontamination.
* Teaching / Assessing / mentorship qualifications.
* Knowledge and experience of appropriate standards and external bodies (Care Quality Commission, GRS, JAG, HTM 01–06).
* ILS.
* Dual skilled in another area recovery, scrub, anaesthetics desirable.
* Experience working in an Endoscopy Unit for 5 years.
* JAG Accreditation experience essential.
