Core CAMHS is a Tier 3, multidisciplinary service central to Gloucestershire’s Children’s Mental Health provision, supporting children and young people with moderate to severe mental health needs.
The service is recruiting an Operational Lead who will be a key leader, providing compassionate, effective leadership to ensure high-quality mental health care for children, young people, and families.
The role requires a professional health or social care qualification, current registration and experience within a children’s mental health care setting. Core operating hours are 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Friday, with some flex according to service need. The capacity to travel between bases and meetings is required.
Key responsibilities:
* Communicate and collaborate effectively with a wide range of people, from children and families to all levels of the GHC organisation and partners.
* Lead compassionately, with the GHC Trust Values integral to your approach.
* Place the voice of children and families at the centre of service delivery and development.
* Provide planning, development and delivery of service and quality improvements in line with local and national priorities and strategy.
* Operationally enable clinically led services to collaboratively achieve effective governance.
* Be confident to prioritise, adapt and problem‑solve in this fast‑paced environment.
* Lead on key tasks/projects associated with the delivery of effective community services, working collaboratively with key partners.
* Analyse data and write reports adapted to the audience.
The postholder will receive a comprehensive induction into the Children and Young People Service Directorate and will be welcomed by a supportive group of leaders.
