Your Role As Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and operational management of the nursery. You’ll ensure the highest standards of care, education, and safeguarding, while driving occupancy and commercial performance. You’ll lead, inspire, and develop your team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration. Key Responsibilities Lead the nursery with confidence, embodying our SHINE values: Support, Honesty, Inspiration, Nurturing, Empowerment Ensure outstanding childcare and education through effective planning, observation, and assessment Manage day-to-day operations, including staffing, enrolments, parent partnerships, and compliance Drive commercial success through occupancy growth and budget management Mentor and develop your team through induction, supervision, and appraisal Represent Happy Days professionally during Ofsted inspections and regulatory visits Collaborate with our Support Centre and contribute to group-wide initiatives What We’re Looking For Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent) Level 3 Safeguarding and Paediatric First Aid Proven leadership experience in a childcare setting Strong commercial acumen and budget management skills Excellent communication, organisation, and decision-making abilities Deep understanding of EYFS, Ofsted requirements, and statutory frameworks Passion for developing others and driving continuous improvement Ability to build positive relationships with families, colleagues, and external partners Rewarding Careers Here at Happy Days we’re building a workplace where our colleagues thrive.
