Job Summary:
We are seeking a warm, energetic, reliable, and experienced Paediatric Therapist to provide one-on-one, home-based support for a 4-year-old child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) using techniques such as Play Therapy, Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) principles etc. The therapist will work closely with the family and supervising behaviour consultant to implement an individualized therapy plan focused on developing communication, play, self-help, and social skills in a nurturing and structured environment. As well as therapies there will be a requirement to help with other programs such JIAS, detoxing, addressing nutrient deficiencies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver consistent one-on-one ABA therapy sessions in the child’s home, following a structured program developed by a supervising BCBA or behaviour consultant.
* Implement individualized goals targeting communication, behaviour, self-regulation, daily routines, and social interaction.
* Use positive reinforcement, visual supports, prompting strategies, and data-driven techniques in line with best practices.
* Collect and record accurate data on behaviours and skill acquisition throughout each session.
* Participate in regular team meetings and supervision to review progress and adjust therapy plans as needed.
* Communicate regularly and respectfully with parents/caregivers about the child’s progress and strategies for generalization.
* Create a safe, engaging, and supportive environment that encourages learning through play and structured routines.
* Support the development of daily living skills such as toileting, dressing, eating, and transitions.
* Assisting with other programs such as JIAS Sound Therapy, Detoxing, Diet based (nutrient deficiency and gut health), Sleep Therapies.
Qualifications:
* Certification as a Registered Behaviour Technician (RBT) or equivalent experience with Play Therapy or ABA therapy preferred. Preferably a Graduate in Child Psychology.
* Background in Psychology, Special Education, Behavioural Science, or a related field.
* Minimum 1 year of experience working with young children with ASD, preferably in a home-based or early intervention setting.
* Understanding of ABA principles, data collection, and behaviour management techniques.
* Energetic, patient, creative, reliable and able to engage young children at their developmental level.
* Ability to follow a structured therapy plan while being flexible to meet the child’s evolving needs.
* Must pass a background check and have up-to-date First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
Preferred:
* Experience working with nonverbal or minimally verbal children using visual schedules, PECS, or AAC systems.
* Familiarity with early childhood development and play-based ABA interventions.
* Ability to collaborate professionally with a multidisciplinary team including parents, therapists, and supervisors.
