At Kier, we're looking for an MEP Project Director to join and operate within our Major Projects sector.
You will lead the delivery of a major construction project in the Life Sciences/Healthcare sector, driving excellence across safety, quality, commercial performance, and team leadership, ensuring every project meets our high standards and client expectations.
Location: Office/Site-based. Likely split between Rushden and London.
Business Unit: Kier Mechanical & Electrical (Kier Strategic Projects).
Reporting to: Operations Director.
Working Hours: Full-time, Permanent. May require some travel or staying away.
What will you do?
As the MEP Project Director, you will:
* Lead the design and construction process from concept to completion.
* Ensure compliance with SHE standards and promote a safety-first culture.
* Manage project strategy, programme delivery, and stakeholder communication.
* Oversee commercial performance, cost control, and contract compliance.
* Develop and empower project teams, ensuring high performance and succession planning.
* Maintain strong client relationships and represent Kier professionally.
What do you need?
* Degree or HND in Construction and professional qualification (or working towards).
* Exposure to technically challenging sectors is advantageous.
* CSCS and SMSTS accreditation.
* Strong commercial awareness and contract knowledge.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
