A Primary School in Newcastle Upon Tyne is looking for a Speech & Language Support professional to join their school-based provision from September 2026. This role is ideal for someone with a Speech and Language qualification or strong Sppech & Language experience who is confident supporting pupils with communication and language needs within a primary setting. Location: Newcastle (NE4) Hours: 8:30 - 15:30, Monday-Friday Start Date: September 2026 (trial sessions available ASAP) Key Responsibilities In this role, you will: Provide targeted Speech & Language support to pupils across school Deliver small group and 1:1 interventions to develop communication skills Support pupils with speech, language, and social communication needs Help pupils build confidence with vocabulary, comprehension, and expressive language Work closely with teachers and SEND staff to embed strategies into the classroom Support pupils with communication barriers to access learning and routines What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will have: A Speech & Language qualification (or strong relevant experience) Experience supporting children with speech, language, and communication needs A calm, encouraging approach and strong interpersonal skills Confidence delivering interventions and tracking progress A proactive mindset and ability to work as part of a supportive school team Why This Role?
