Job Description: The Senior Tax Administrator is responsible for providing critical administrative and operational support to the firm’s Private Client Tax Services Group. This position manages the full lifecycle of fiduciary and individual tax return processing, including intake, tracking, assembly, and filing of returns. It also involves managing internal controls and workflows for over 1,500 client accounts, such as trusts, estates, private foundations, and high-net-worth individuals.
Working closely with attorneys, fiduciaries, and clients, the role ensures accurate, timely, and compliant tax filings. It is ideal for a highly organized professional experienced in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.

Location: Boston, MA
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee intake of new tax assignments, including client setup and internal tracking.
2. Manage account closures, tax charges, and final filings.
3. Maintain and update internal filing and tracking systems.
4. Coordinate tax return processing, assembly, filing, and confirmation.
5. Serve as liaison to internal and external stakeholders.
6. Track milestones and report workflow status during peak seasons.
7. Oversee maintenance of 1,500+ client tax files and records.
8. Manage the annual billing process, including pre-bills, final billing, and invoice payments.
9. Participate in training to enhance technological skills and workflow efficiency.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.
To succeed, candidates must have:
* At least 5 years of experience in fiduciary tax or wealth management supporting high-net-worth clients.
* Knowledge of federal and state tax compliance, especially for trusts and estates.
* Proficiency with systems like OneSource TrustTax, CCH Axcess Tax, Fi-Tek Trust Accounting, and Microsoft Office.
* Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s preferred, especially with coursework in accounting or finance.
* Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines with high accuracy.
* Ability to work independently and in teams.
