As an Independent Nuclear Assurance Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our nuclear operations. Here’s what you’ll be doing: Conducting Inspections:
Perform independent inspections and surveillance of nuclear work on-site and on-board, evaluating safety and security performance. Assessing Capabilities:
Inspect and assess the business's ability to progress submarine builds and projects through the Hold Point Control process. Ensuring Compliance:
Evaluate compliance with relevant legislation and communicate findings to stakeholders at all levels. Emergency Arrangements:
Independently assess emergency arrangements and provide constructive feedback. Oversight and Challenge:
Provide oversight to safety and security committees, ensuring due process is followed. Peer Review Activity:
Maintain oversight of Independent Peer Review activities related to safety documentation. Operational Experience Feedback:
Develop and deploy an effective feedback system for nuclear and radiological incidents. Your Skills and Experience
We’re looking for candidates who bring: Working knowledge of nuclear site license conditions and experience on licensed sites or in equivalent regulated industries. Experience managing programs within the nuclear industry or a similarly regulated field. Strong engagement skills with senior management and external regulators. Desirable Qualifications
Marine Engineering Submariner background or experience in Nuclear Submarine Build & Commissioning. A degree or equivalent in a STEM subject. Experience in Audit & Regulation. Why Join Us?

As part of our team, you will report to the Senior Engineering Manager and act as an internal regulator for the Submarines business. Your insights will help shape the nuclear and radiological safety performance across the organization. Important Information
